Holla' holla'!

Who wouldn't raise a smile if WWE brought back ex-GM Teddy Long and had him assume the role of Commissioner of SmackDown briefly? If the creative team need a stopgap, they should look no further than this lovable rogue, who made tag team matches aplenty during his time in charge of the blue brand.

Teddy is now a WWE Hall Of Famer too, so he has the credibility needed to run SmackDown in storyline and oversee Daniel Bryan as General Manager. Don't forget just how Long was tied to that role himself. Nobody would really know it better than he, and that's a point he could hammer home to drive the level-headed Bryan crazy.

If WWE are feeling particularly bold, they could eventually cycle Teddy out and put Bryan (or someone else) into the Commissioner role solo. This would have the added benefit of eliminating the forced banter between GM and Commish. That's been an issue between Daniel and Shane McMahon up until now, so more of the same (unless one plays heel) doesn't sound fun.
