10 WWE Stars Who Had WrestleManias They Would Rather Forget
10. Rob Van Dam, Kane, Lance Storm & Val Venis - WrestleMania XIX
It has become a recurring theme in recent years for matches expected to be on the 'Mania card to be bumped to the pre-show or taken off the card completely. Usually this is because the show is running long and more time needs to be given to the main matches. Naturally it's those lower on the totem poll who are cut. That's exactly what happened to RVD, Kane, Storm and Venis at WrestleMania XIX. The match was originally scheduled to be RVD & Kane versus Storm & Regal for the World Tag Team Championships but Regal came down with a serious illness and Venis (as Chief Morley) stepped in his place. The four talented workers were told two days before the show that they were being bumped to the Sunday Night Heat pre-show because the show was running long and, since it wasn't the originally scheduled/advertised match, that it was the natural choice to be cut. Needless to say, none of the guys were happy. Not only were they off the PPV, meaning their match would be seen by a fraction of the audience, but their pay cheques were also severely effected by the snub. They were even less happy when they saw that the Miller Lite girls (shudder) not only got to do their pointless pillow fight, but were also given three backstage segments throughout the show to hype their 'match'. And then Limp Bizkit got to perform for about ten minutes, too, just because. It was a total slap in the face to four loyal company men. They could have had a decent eight or ten minute match on the show but instead were relegated for a bad Nu-Metal mini concert and Jonathan Coachman getting his pants pulled down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJyXxhA1Yt0
