10 WWE Stars Who Have Gone Backwards In 2020

8. The Riott Squad

Confession time.

Your writer has never liked the Riott Squad gimmick. Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan came across as high school bullies at best first time around, and they were one of the least-effective heel factions in wrestling history. WWE's decision to shunt Ruby and Liv back together (sans Logan) is a bit sh*t then.

Morgan looked like she was going places late last year. Her vignettes were tinged with darkness, and it seemed Liv might finally break out of the Riott shadow to become a standalone success story. So much for that, and so much for the sensationalistic claims that she was romantically linked to Lana.

The Squad are back together, and they're cannon fodder in the Women's Tag-Team Title scene. Honestly, there's nothing to like about their regurgitated act - they'll probs get a title run at some point, and it'll be as unmemorable as most other female tag sprints.
