10 WWE Stars Who Loved To Get Cheap Heat

9. Gorgeous George

Gorgeous George Speaking of pretty boys, 'Gorgeous' George Wagner is truly the shining example of how to play that role to perfection, drawing intense hatred in the process. It's impossible to imagine a character during which spectators hate on a performer because he likes to wear colourful clothing and prance around the ring as cutting it in today's world - just looking at the current WWE roster throws up numerous examples of babyfaces who more than likely would have been heels back in Wagner's day, if that were the case. Flamboyant and charismatic, Wagner had been an accomplished grappler under his own name, prior to creating such an outlandish alter-ego. Upholding the virtues of his fictional character in public was crucial for Gorgeous George, and people bought into the entire myth of the product he was selling. Essentially, what Wagner was selling was the fan's own prejudice towards what they deemed abnormal and outside the everyday bounds set by this 'normal' society. Simply put, in the 1940s and 1950s, nobody was acting like this, and George hammed it up magnificently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPser68hiT0
