10 WWE Stars Who Most Benefited From Paul Heyman's Influence

7. Tommy Dreamer

For years in the original ECW, Tommy Dreamer acted as Paul Heyman's right hand man. Routinely, it'd be Dreamer who would drive the pair from town to town, remarking in a recent interview that this seemed to be the only time his 'mad scientist' boss appeared to get even a wink of sleep.

During their time together in the hardcore promotion, Heyman taught Dreamer as much as he could about both the pro wrestling industry and the business world. Not every lesson was perfect, some were even likely harsh, but they gave Dreamer the grounded personality that would later land him regular employment in WWE.

Someone like Tommy Dreamer didn't possess the kind of physique typically associated with WWE success, but he maintained a gig with the promotion for years due to his invaluable knowledge and driven mentality.

Both of those traits were hammered home and fine tuned by Paul Heyman, who invited Dreamer under his learning tree for years. There's little doubt that Tommy benefited from knowing Heyman and having his former boss in his life.
