10 WWE Stars Who Need To Turn In 2017
4. Bray Wyatt
Is there a more polarising talent in WWE today than Bray Wyatt?
To some, he is an intriguing callback to when WWE characters were actual characters, as opposed to shin pad-wearing identikit workhorses. Many fans gravitate towards Wyatt, but that's surely as a result of his promise than his performances. He is widely regarded as the most mismanaged talent in the company at present.
To others, he is a patchwork quilt of naff and derivative horror movie imagery - a silly retread of a bygone time with none of the in-universe logic of The Undertaker. He quotes Stephen King, wears a smock a la Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre - if it weren't for Leo, he'd have probably adopted the surname Krueger as part of his on-the-nose quest to become WWE's modern face of fear.
What isn't up for debate is his how ineffective the act is in storylines. Shouldn't a man with supernatural powers use them to win wrestling matches? Wyatt can conjure grotesque imagery from his mind, presumably - but still walks straight into RKOs. The gimmick, meant to portray him as deadly, makes him look toothless in defeat...
...which is why a turn is long overdue. At least then, as a WWE babyface, his defeats would be engineered to save his face. Even Daniel Bryan was afforded storyline protection in late 2013, long after WWE decided not to go all in on his push. Removing Wyatt's loser stigma is the first step in his rehabilitation. Turning him face is the first step of that programme.
