10 WWE Stars Who Only Worked One Televised Match

5. "God"

God Backlash
WWE

Ladies and gents, you are officially off the deep end now.

God (or "God", because the religious community would probs be offended by the notion that their almighty jobbed out to Vinnie Mac) was revealed as Shawn Michaels' tag-team partner at Backlash 2006. "God" made "his" way to the ring under spotlights beamed down from heaven, and everyone wondered why WWE had decided to lace their Pepsi Max with hallucinogens.

The 'No Holds Barred' tag match pitted Shawn and the big bearded fella' against Vince and Shane McMahon, and it was every bit as ludicrous as you'd imagine. The only real tragedy is that WWE didn't go further and have either McMahon sell some 'Sweet Chin Music' from "God". Instead, the spotlight hung around on the ring apron and Michaels went solo.

Was this some sort of commentary on having religion in one's corner? Probably. Did it leave everyone scratching their heads and asking why God now had a 0-1 record (one worse than Nicholas Cone, by the way)? Absolutely. Did Vince care?

Not one bit.
