10 WWE Stars Who Should Be WAY More Over Than They Actually Are

9. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks shouldn't be a babyface. She's nowhere near as good in the role as she was as The Boss in NXT. Memories of that insanely good run are sadly fading.

In a way, it's hard to blame WWE. For once, they listened to overtures demanding more of Sasha Banks and delivered more of Sasha Banks. The Sasha Banks they received was a babyface bastardisation, but it was understandable. The fans had literally asked for it.

Banks' babyface character reached a nadir when WWE went to the retirement tease well once too often on the September 5, 2016 RAW. "There is a saying - that every journey has an end," she began. Incidentally, count how many times you hear those first four words or a variation on them on any given episode of RAW or SmackDown. The overuse is shocking. It must be written into TJP's contract for him to start every promo with "You know what they say," before sh*tting out some cliche or other. It's no wonder he's nosedived since the Cruiserweight Classic.

Banks then put in a dreadful performance - even soap opera actors can make themselves cry - in a shamefully manipulative promo that manipulated nobody. Her stock bottomed out.

Since then, she has become so inconsequential to a three hour RAW programme that rumour has it she'll be spending more time in 205 Live. She has plummeted fast, and it's almost fitting. That according to Vince McMahon is the only speed she knows.
