10 WWE Stars Who Should Be WAY More Over Than They Actually Are

5. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose gets a reaction from live crowds, who respond to his zany schemes and story-driven matches well enough. Is well enough acceptable for a man of his talents?

Ambrose was once considered the next big thing in professional wrestling by studious fans and his more successful peers alike. CM Punk was particularly taken with Ambrose - so much so that he wrestled him in an epic watched live by about twelve people, on his day off, in 2011. The same man who was absolutely battered by the WWE machine, famously values his personal time and space, and by his own admission had been miserable in wrestling for years was so taken with Ambrose that he wrestled him - in the hapless Florida Championship Wrestling - for the sheer fun of it.

Ambrose is either happy enough to go along with his prop comic character or doesn't care enough to give it an edge. Reports vary. Back onto the subject of Punk: he once tweeted that Ambrose was WWE's "secret weapon". That weapon, sadly, has revealed itself to be a plant pot.

Ambrose still has so much potential. It's a shame he, through some fault of his own, is unrecognisable from Jon Moxley.
