It may have seemed strange at first why Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley would choose Seth Rollins first for Raw over WWE champion Dean Ambrose, but to their credit, they were confident he would win back the belt later that night. Either way, Rollins was a brilliant premier pick in the 2016 WWE Draft.

There wasn't anyone on a bigger roll in 2015 than him before he suffered a serious injury that forced him to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, he has picked up right where he left off since returning to the ring in May and has had his sights set on regaining the gold in his feud with his former Shield stablemates.

Rollins will undoubtedly be champion again at some point soon, but for now, he is the perfect person to be ruling Raw as its top heel. It would much more logical to do a double turn with him and Reigns given how most fans react to both of them, but that doesn't appear to be in the cards right now.

Anyway, Rollins should thrive as Raw's sole lead villain on Monday nights coming out of the WWE Draft.
