On paper, David Otunga has many qualities that would be appealing to WWE management. He has a body chiseled from granite, a famous wife, a Harvard diploma and he has great public speaking skills. However, a lack of charisma, mediocre wrestling skills and some ridiculous storylines have turned this once promising lawyer-turned-wrestler into someone who most people barely remember is still working for the company. The number of times Otunga has appeared on WWE television over the past year can be counted on one hand. Of course, there was a tragedy in his family he had to attend to, but once he returned, he wasn't used in the same capacity. He first arrived on the scene as part of the Nexus invasion, but it soon became clear that his technical ability wasn't up to snuff. He found a good footing as John Laurenaitis' legal advisor, but that role seemed to fade away. With a law degree from Harvard, Otunga could practically write his own ticket. Odds are good that WWE will either release him due to lack of any ideas of how to use him, or he will leave to find a new career on his own within the next year.
