10 WWE Storylines From 2016 That Will Never Be Resolved
4. Brock Lesnar Vs. Bray Wyatt
At WrestleMania 32, Brock Lesnar defeated Dean Ambrose in an underwhelming match, but it could have been even worse. Originally, the plan was for Lesnar to face off with Bray Wyatt at the show of shows.
The Wyatt Family attacked Lesnar and Roman Reigns on the Raw prior to the Royal Rumble, and in the Rumble match, he was eliminated by The Wyatts. From there on, it looked like the plans for WrestleMania were set in stone. When a triple threat main event between Lesnar, Ambrose, and Reigns was signed for Fastlane, many assumed that The Wyatts would cost Brock the win. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and they used to match to segue into Brock-Ambrose, which was a good feud, if nothing else.
It's not that Lesnar versus Wyatt would have necessarily been bad from an in-ring perspective (although it probably would have suffered from the same problems as Lesnar-Ambrose, with Lesnar not being game to do much). The problem was that even by the beginning of 2016, Wyatt had been beaten so many times that he wasn't a plausible opponent for Lesnar. At least with Ambrose, there was some doubt as to who would win.
