10 WWE Storylines That Were Never Resolved

7. Orton's 'Favour' From Booker T

WWEWWEIn 2005, WWE attempted to replicate the now legendary Best Of Seven series fought over the United States title in WCW in 1998 between Booker T and Chris Benoit. In this second series of seven, the first four matches were fought in a pretty straightforward but compelling manner until Booker injured his leg. In an a rather unprecedented move, Booker T enlisted the aid of Randy Orton as his representative to finish the series. Booker was already three matches to one against Benoit, so all Orton had to do was win one match and Booker would be the new U.S. Champ. Orton agreed and after a stumbling a few times and taking it to the final match (of course), Orton eventually defeated Benoit and Booker was crowned the new champ. In return, Orton asks Booker for a 'huge favour' in the future and both the wrestlers involved and the commentary play up the enormity of the favour as Orton would have just won another man a major championship. Weirdly enough, something that had the potential to be incredibly interesting was never mentioned again. As far as we can recall, Booker STILL owes Randy a favour, and you have to suspect it'll ever be mentioned again.
