3. Batista Quits
In kayfabe, Batista left WWE in a blaze of pent-up anger in mid-2014, his triumphant return having failed to deliver on the promises made to him by Triple H. His WrestleMania XXX moment was stolen by Daniel Bryan, and the Animal was in no mood to reprise his role as Evolution's heavy.
In reality, of course, Dave left WWE on pretty good terms - initially, anyway. The six-time World champ always had designs on breaking into Hollywood, and even made a farewell NXT appearance after his onscreen "resignation" - leaving the door firmly open for a return.
But in the time since, Batista appears to have grown resentful the company - criticising the booking of his 2014 return - and now appears to have ruled out anything more than the odd house show spot.
Which is great news for casting agents with a one-word-of-dialogue role going spare.
