3. Becky Vs. McMahon

Becky Lynch Stephanie McMahon
WWE

The parallels between Becky Lynch and Steve Austin - the injury timing, the blood-soaked defiance, the anti-hero mega aura, the SmackDown Women's title-as-stepping stone - all of this came to something of a quiet, telling end over the Christmas period, as Mr. McMahon questioned Becky's demeanour on SmackDown to no savage put-down - nor any response at all.

It's a different time; Vince is nowhere near as interested in making a fool of himself, which is surely preferable than taking stupid bumps at his age. Now we know where Shane gets it from. But it's not this McMahon we want to see opposing Becky: it's his daughter.

Stephanie loves to belittle the male performers on their roster by putting them down and slapping them across the face. For years, we've waited for some sort of incendiary verbal comeback. Instead, with one withering eye-roll, Kevin Owens last year, to use just one example, reacted to Steph as if she'd just buried his match with Chris Jericho at WrestleMania.

Imagine Becky on the receiving end, but having absolutely none of it. None of Stephanie's bullsh*t whatso-f*cking-ever. Becky should rage at Steph for saying she does the things Becky goes out there and does. Becky did in three months what Stephanie has pretended to do for three excruciating years: she's made the Women's division the must-see attraction in all of WWE. Steph pretends to make things "equal"; Becky actually makes Women's wrestling better.

Ronda got over by ripping Steph's arm out of her socket - can you imagine how much more over Becky would get by making her shut the f*ck up?
