10 WWE Street Fights That Actually Lived Up To The Name

6. Goldust vs. 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper - WrestleMania XII

Something more along the lines of this would have elevated Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper's match at Extreme Rules to the highest level. This Hollywood Backlot Brawl incorporated footage of the O.J. Simpson police chase involving THAT while Ford Bronco. That's how epic is was. Complications involving Scott Hall's impending departure to WCW almost meant Goldust, one of the hottest stars in the company at that time, didn't take part in the match at all. Even though a Razor Ramon/Goldie match had already been announced by acting president Roddy Piper, Piper replaced Hall who had been suspended for six weeks following a failed drug test. The action was hard hitting and represented the only resurrection of former WWE stars that paid off at Mania 12. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and The Ultimate Warrior also made appearances. Sure, it was filmed the day before and the editing left something to be desired, but the action was tactical hardcore at it best and added a new dimension to the whole thing. There was car chases, car crashes, water hoses, sexual molestation, Goldust in drag. The lot. Piper became the unofficial winner of the match after attacking Goldust's testicles and undressing him to find a corset and fishnet stockings... Certainly a match that needs to be seen to be believed. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x12f1ts_goldust-vs-rowdy-roddy-piper-hollywood-backlot-brawl-3-31-1996_sport
