10 WWE SummerSlam 2020 Nightmares That Could Come True

9. They Pack The Card Generally

WWE has several matches waiting around for Payback. At least, one would hope that's the case - it'd be a disaster for SummerSlam if these bouts all leeched on Sunday's importance. The aforementioned Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler bout would be one of the worst examples of this, but so would Matt Riddle vs. 'King' Corbin.

Then, there's a potential SmackDown Tag-Team Title showdown pitting Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Lucha House Party. That's second-rate due to how Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado have been booked lately (Kalisto's comeback does soothe worries there a tiny bit, admittedly), and doesn't exactly scream top-tier pay-per-view quality.

Finally, there's AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy. Though that'll happen on this week's SmackDown, it's likely WWE will book some kind of screwy finish that sets up a SummerSlam rematch. That one is a little different, 'cause it actually merits more spotlight than it's been getting.

SummerSlam has eight matches. That's enough.
