Roman Reigns is the next breakout star in WWE, AND he's 2-0 at WrestleMania. If you were going to end The Streak, why wouldn't you pass the torch to a young, upcoming star who also is undefeated at WrestleMania? The Streak has been a major storyline at WrestleMania during the past decade, so if you're going to end it, you best replace it with another equally compelling storyline. Passing it on to a young superstar to carry forward would have been a fitting end to Taker's career if this indeed was his last match. Reigns would have been a logical choice that make so much sense that even the most cryptic fans would have understood.

He fondly remembers watching WrestleMania III, IV, V and VI and Saturday Night's Main Event, came back to wrestling during the Attitude Era, and has been a consumer of sports entertainment since then. He's written for WhatCulture for more than a decade, establishing the Ups and Downs articles for WWE Raw and WWE PPVs/PLEs and composing pieces on a variety of topics.
