3. Booker T
Unlike Kevin Nash, Booker T was a well established star in the business before he went to work for WWE. He was a 12 year veteran by the time WCW came to an end and his accomplishments in that company are very impressive indeed. Booker held a record 21 championships in the company, 10 of which were the tag team titles with his brother Stevie Ray. He was also United States champion, a six time Television champion and four time WCW World champion. It was that top belt that Booker won on the final Monday Nitro and he took it with him when he was signed by WWE. Booker's run under Vince McMahon may not have included multiple world title runs like his WCW run did, but it was very successful nonetheless. He was a three time U.S. champ, three time tag team champ, two time Hardcore champ and Intercontinental champ. He also managed to win the WCW World title again as well as become the World champion. Booker T had definitely proven himself in the industry and seemingly had nothing left to prove when he left the company in 2007. But the fact is that Booker left under less than desirable circumstances so to see him in TNA could very well have been the opportunity he wanted to show that he still had plenty left in the tank. He stayed for three years in TNA and while he only won two titles in that company, he did spend his fair share of time at the top. As part of The Main Event Mafia, Booker was featured in a prime spot every week on TV. The master of the Spinarooni seemed quite content with staying the course in TNA. But he did ultimately leave TNA in 2011 and returned to WWE as a color commentator. Booker's ring career was thought to be over by many but he did eventually have a small feud with Cody Rhodes, which he lost in the end. Booker T was given a great spot as the new General Manager for SmackDown, which he kept for a year. And if all of that were not enough evidence that Booker was back in WWE's good graces, he was also inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2013. All seems to be well between Vince McMahon and the five-time WCW champion.
