10 WWE Superstars John Cena Has Put Over
8. Randy Orton
Without Randy Orton, there is no John Cena, and vice versa. Cena and Orton have always been linked together, starting from their days in OVW. However, they did take different paths before meeting each other in 2007.
Randy was pushed straight to the moon when he joined, being paired up with Ric Flair, Triple H and Batista in 2003. He rode the momentum of Evolution until he became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion at the age of 24 in 2004. However, an ill-advised face turn for Orton ruined his feud with Triple H. He rebuilt himself with great programs against The Undertaker and with Edge in Rated-RKO. This was all just priming him for his next challenge, with a foe that came to define him and his WWE career.
Orton was the number-one contender to John Cena's WWE Title in 2007. However, Orton became champion due to an unfortunate incident. Cena tore his pectoral muscle in a match against Mr. Kennedy on the Raw before No Mercy 2007. After the match, Orton came and brutalized Cena, who took credit for the injury. After this, Orton and Cena were in intermittent feuds with each other until 2013, when The Viper smashed John to unify the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships.
