10 WWE Superstars John Cena Has Put Over
6. Sheamus
Sheamus was a nobody when he debuted in WWE in 2009. He had a villainous character on ECW, which eventually saw him come over to Monday Night Raw. He was booked very strongly at the start, as reflected by a great showing at Survivor Series 2009, where he picked up two eliminations in a traditional five-on-five elimination tag match. After this, Sheamus won a "Breakthrough Battle Royal" which saw him earn a WWE Championship match against John Cena at TLC 2009.
Not many expected the young Sheamus to conquer John Cena, who was at the peak of his powers then. However, as Cena went to superplex Sheamus through a table, Sheamus pushed the champ off the top rope and through the table to become WWE Champion. He captured the major title just 166 days after making his WWE debut. The impact Sheamus made against Cena at the start of his career made him hot property for the forthcoming years. Today, he is a Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and King of the Ring winner. He has also won the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships along with the US and Tag Titles. Cena giving him that early rub surely helped accelerate the journey.
