10 WWE Superstars John Cena Has Put Over

Kevin Owens is the antithesis of what a conventional WWE superstar is. Instead of being tall and muscular, he is of average-height with a less-than chiseled physique. Despite this, WWE were hot on the Canadian who looked primed to be one of the next big things in the company. He has had two stellar debuts in WWE. The first was down in NXT, which saw him assault best friend Sami Zayn. However, his second debut was much more memorable.

Kevin Owens was in the middle of his stint as NXT Champion in 2015 when the unthinkable happened. Not only did the heel prizefighter of NXT debut on the main roster with the NXT Championship, he debuted opposite the biggest star in the company, John Cena. This was all accentuated by the fact that Owens comprehensively beat down the mega-star and stomped on his US Title, while holding his NXT Title up in the air. This led to a match at Elimination Chamber 2015, which Owens won cleanly. Even though Owens did lose two matches eventually, his star was made. His introduction to the main roster in this fashion was big enough to send a message to the entire WWE Universe, and one of the biggest rubs Cena has ever given.
