10 WWE Superstars Returning In 2017
1. CM Punk
Okay, so this is probably the least likely return by quite a bit. But...Punk has to come back to WWE sometime. Right?
No one stays out of the company forever, no matter how much badmouthing goes on. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Roddy Piper, Brock Lesnar, Sable and Ultimate Warrior all settled things with their old boss and were able to make money together again.
But Punk's case is a different beast, as there is a lawsuit going on between one of the company's doctors and Punk. But what if WWE could...make that go away? Would that help rebuild that burnt bridge?
With WWE’s ratings ranging from terrible to pretty horrendous these days, and with Punk’s UFC career at an end, perhaps they’ll realize they both need each other more than ever.
The former WWE Champion would get to avoid feeling burnt out if he returned, as he'd likely have to work a fraction of what he did before, and yet still make the same amount of money (even though that angered him when other wrestlers did that). And since he hasn't had to take any real bumps (minus getting knocked around in that UFC fight), his body is sure to have healed up quite a bit.
It’s just hard to imagine that someone who had as much passion for professional wrestling as Punk did, not wanting to get back into the game at some point. There's not point in continually delaying this, so let's go for late 2017 being the time Punk and WWE once again make nice.
