10 WWE Superstars That Are Permanently Lost

2. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler's July 2022 return in the main event of Monday Night Raw was a scarcely believable attempt by WWE present a career-long midcarder as a main event concern just because he'd been gone a while. As usual, Ziggler himself has very little to do with a perpetual perception problem.

For over a decade at this point, 'The Show Off' has been utilised up and down the roster as per the company's needs (and a Bron Breakker feud in NXT proved his worth in the spot), but never once has it been considered that maybe a multi-time loser can no longer be easily positioned back in the winners circle.

Not unlike others on this list and indeed in the organisation, Ziggler is an excellent utility player and will thus remain in this loop for as long as he works for WWE. But that sword is double-edged, and it's been cutting the former World Heavyweight Champion down to size for over a decade now.
