1. Finn Bálor
Finn Bálor is current Intercontinental Champion and his Demon gimmick is still hugely over and unbeaten on the main roster.
This all sounds great on the surface but he’s rarely on TV these days and when he is you would think he was following a Vince McMahon “All smiles out there” edict at gunpoint, despite rarely having much to smile about. It’s hard not to feel that his main roster career has been on the slide ever since he was briefly Universal Champion.
It would be great to see Bálor airlifted out of 50/50 programmes with midcard heels like Bobby Lashley and given a big tournament win that might launch him back towards the main event scene.
In the past, WWE commentary have referenced Bálor’s history in Japan at Prince Devitt, so why not allow this to play into a similarly regal King Bálor gimmick? Plus he’d be the Demon King! Honestly this is such “good s**t” that it writes itself!
