10 WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need New Entrance Theme Music

3. Bobby Roode

Robert Roode has a marvellous theme tune. Tremendous, magnificent, fantastic. You could even call it ‘glorious’. If you’re making a list of WWE themes ordered by gloriousness, it is nigh on impossible to avoid putting this one at the top. From that opening piano note, all the way through to the Queen-esque exclamations of the chorus, Roode’s theme is a total banger.

It just doesn’t git Bobby, at all. What is Roode’s character? Right now the extent of his character is ‘experienced ring veteran in tag team with Dolph Ziggler’, a workmanlike position for a talented guy moving into a period of his career where ‘ring general’ is his ceiling. With that in mind, does ‘Glorious Domination’ still fit the character?

Of course, it doesn’t. It is too late for the song to be moved onto someone new, and it is a terrible fit for a tag team guy in the middle of the card. It may depress many readers, but the time has come for it to be put to bed, ready to return if Roode has a heroic run as a massive babyface in the future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
