10 WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need New Entrance Theme Music

Rusev’s entrance music is fantastic, perfect for a Disney villain stomping his way to the ring before, yes, crushing your favourites like the puny American wimps they are. The dramatic strings and percussion invoke images of thunderous rain, of battles where evil is inevitable, of the synchronized clapping of heels and other such pernicious images. It is up there with William Regal’s last theme when it comes to villainous tunes.

The theme is perfect for an unbeatable villain, but for a tremendously handsome and charismatic individual who has the ability to be the biggest babyface on the roster? Not quite as well matched. When the Bulgarian Brute flashes that smile and works the crowd into a fury (well, a WWE-level fury, at least), the thunder and lighting of ‘Roar of the Lion’ creates a bit of a weird juxtaposition.

What should Rusev have in its stead? WWE doesn’t exactly have a great track record in recent times of updating theme tunes, but there are still some bangers left in the closet. Give the big man something a little more bombastic, something a little more charismatic, and a superstar shall be born. Will this happen? Of course not, but hope dies last.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
