10 WWE Superstars Who Must Retire In 2016

10. The Miz

In 2011, The Miz headlined WrestleMania, successfully defending the WWE Championship against John Cena. Since then, it's been a steady fall downhill for the former reality TV star. Bad booking, a poorly-thought-out face turn, and an increasingly obnoxious portrayal have left The Miz basically back where he started. It's a sad fate for the man who spent 2008, 2009, and 2010 working so hard to improve that he changed his reputation completely, but an influx of amazing workers - including Daniel Bryan, The Shield, Cesaro, and more - have eclipsed him in the ring. That could be worked around, though, if fans simply took him seriously. They don't, and WWE's done nothing to remedy that. With The Miz appearing in more and more direct-to-DVD and TV movies, acting may be the most lucrative future for him. He won't be The Rock, but he can make a living - and as he's already accomplished his dream, he can move on with his head held high.
