9. Kurt Angle - Amateur Wrestling Coach

Playing off Kurt's real-life past as an Olympic-level amateur wrestler (and gold medalist), he would fit easily into an ultra-serious sports drama. Chronicling his character's life as a former-wrestler turned coach, the show would revolve around similar themes to The Rock's - trying to fulfil one's life after retirement, the physical demands on professional athletes - without the comedy touch. Angle's character would be frighteningly intense, potentially alcoholic, and prone to bouts of self-destructive behaviour.
