10 WWE Superstars Who Would Flourish In Lucha Underground

5. Apollo Crews

An argument can be made that Apollo Crews is among WWE's most underrated superstars today. His in-ring abilities are second to none, which was evident during his time spent on the independent scene as well as in NXT, but a premature call-up to the main roster two years ago did significant damage to his stock within the company and he has yet to fully recover.

As nicely as Crews and Titus O'Neil compliment each other as a tag team, they aren't going anywhere any time soon. In fact, that alliance with O'Neil (in addition to bad booking) is what's holding Crews back from bigger and better things, but it's painfully obvious officials don't see him for the star he was born to be.

Enter Lucha Underground.

As noted, The Temple is where wrestlers who flew under the radar in WWE go to be elevated to the level they belong. For example, WWE never knew what they had in Brian Cage until they let him go, allowing him to become a top talent in Lucha Underground. That was his second chance at super stardom, something Crews could really use as well right now.
