7. The Godfather
One of the more popular characters of the Attitude Era (and one that could have only worked during that time in the business), The Godfather reached that level because of what his entrance consisted of. As a "pimp", he would come out and dance to the ring, accompanied by his "hoes", which were mostly strippers the company rounded up from whatever city they were in that night. During the overly sexual time in wrestling, he fit right in, and fans loved seeing the scantily clad women coming to the ring every week. His entrance overshadowed his matches so much that there was a running theme for a while where he would come to the ring, offer his opponent a night off if they would take a night with the women instead, and once the opponent went for it... that was it. No match. Just an entrance, a mini-promo, and then it was time for a commercial break. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxitwd_mark-henry-and-godfather-armageddon-1999-entrance_sport Charles Wright has had a handful of gimmicks during his time with the company, from Papa Shango to Kama Mustafa to The Godfather to the ill-advised heel turn where he became The Goodfather, but nothing he ever accomplished, in or out of the ring, comes remotely close to being as memorable as his Godfather entrance was.
