10 WWE Tag Team Champions Less Worthy Than Nicholas

5. Chief Morley

Plugged in to a spot alongside Lance Storm after William Regal's encounter with a near-fatal viral infection in early-2003, the former Val Venis had a similar impact on the under-appreciated Raw brand titles by completely sh*tting the bed as a stand-in.

Morley's move away from cheesecake curiosa came thanks to a panicked promotion by Eric Bischoff. 'Easy E' needed to build a human wall between himself and the returning Stone Cold Steve Austin - with 'rock hard' on his resumé, the Chief seemed to fit the bill.

Exhibiting zero chemistry with Storm, the supposed workhorse was somehow blander than his partner - a man WWE considered so dull they once booked 'The Rattlesnake' to heckle his matches with snores from under a duvet.

The pair's switch-off appeal resulted in their WrestleMania 19 clash with Rob Van Dam and Kane suffering the indignity of late relegation from the main card in order to facilitate such time-sinks as a Limp Bizkit performance and a pillow fight pitting Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. At least the prop bed probably served a purpose for those stuck watching the pre-show snoozer.
