10 WWE Tag Team Wrestlers Who Held Their Partners Back

9. Wesley Blake (Buddy Murphy & Alexa Bliss)

Not to throw shade and sh*t at poor Wesley Blake, but as The Forgotten Sons continue to not move the needle in NXT, it's looking increasingly likely that yet another partnership will dissolve without him achieving fame and acclaim.

The same, quite obviously, cannot be said for former associates Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy.

Once a fairly solid unit on the developmental brand, the trio were separated just ahead of Alexa's 2016 main roster call-up, foreshadowing a total dissolution of the tag team in 2017. Bliss rapidly ascended up the ranks in the burgeoning SmackDown Live Women's Division, with Murphy eventually making the literal leap into the wider consciousness with a thrilling stint on 205 Live.

The 'Best Kept Secret' patterned his updated persona on the idea that he was being held down and held back by his doubles work, tacitly suggesting that it was Blake serving as something of an oppressive force on his pocketed potential.
