10 WWE Tag Teams That Never Feuded
2. Legion Of Doom
Hawk vs Animal could well have been money. Two of the most distinctive-looking workers of their era, both legitimately tough and stiff as hell, kicking lumps out of one another, would have been a belting match for any viewer with a strong enough constitution. But while the ludicrous Attitude Era iteration would feature in-fighting and end in fisticuffs, the Road Warriors/LOD in their prime stayed true to the cause.
The reason is simple: the two were worth far more than the sum of their parts. Still, probably the most iconic tag team ever to lace a pair of boots, the pair were a major draw everywhere they went. They had the wrestling business cracked like few before or since: they didn’t sell, they got the job done quickly, and they made a lot of cash thanks to the shrewd management of Paul Ellering.
WWE still managed to fumble the booking a couple of times, adding - for reasons still unknown - an angle involving a ventriloquist dummy and failing to use the boys to their impactful best, but nevertheless, the Warriors rode to the end as a cohesive and terrifying unit.
