Splitting the roster into two was a risky way of WWE trying to grow their product and introduce some internal competition. To this point it has paid off, with under-utilised talent finding more room to operate. There are some, however, who the WWE fans would like to see jump ship in the hopes of finding a better home.

In its previous incarnation, the draft was an annual affair, and it is rumoured that it will return later in 2017 in some form. The landscape-shifting event is something for all full-time fans to look forward to. Debates have raged about where any given superstar is better situated, or where the newest NXT call-up should debut. The draft answers all of those questions and injects a new dose of excitement into the product.

Don't be surprised if the event returns with new stipulations in the months leading into SummerSlam.
