It's probably fair to preface this entry with the knowledge that - even though he has always had the potential to be a star in this business - The Miz hasn't always helped himself.

After his rocky start subsided, it wasn't long before he was carving out his place in the company through tag and mid-card title runs, Money in the Bank wins and even a WWE Championship victory.

It was clear to see that Miz had established himself as a steady pair of hands, as well as a charismatic performer.

He then regained the Intercontinental title in 2016 - on the post-WrestleMania 32 Monday Night Raw - and went about adding some long overdue meaning to that championship.

After this, he would go on to be drafted to SmackDown, and would cut a promo that single handedly reignited his career.

Chastising Daniel Bryan for promising the fans he would return to wrestling - when he knew at the time he couldn't do so in a WWE ring - the reigning IC champ pulled no punches when referencing his own lack of injuries and how overlooked he'd been in comparison to this 'coward' in front of him.

His new found realisation of how valuable he was, would go on to be a defining weapon in Miz's latest stretch as the MVP heel champion and even led to the fans on Raw cheering for him when he was stood opposite Roman Reigns and John Cena - on an August 2017 edition of the show.

The company eventually had no choice but to turn him face and it's all because he was offering a perspective that the fans couldn't help but agree with.
