10 WWE Vs NJPW Dream Matches

1. Brock Lesnar Vs. Katsuyori Shibata

This final suggestion does not epitomise WWE vs New Japan. It epitomises barbarism.

Lesnar and Shibata are the two most dangerous men in professional wrestling today. Both have legitimate MMA experience but this goes far beyond that. It's an attitude, almost an instability that they bring to the ring.

When Roman Reigns busted Lesnar open mere seconds into their WrestleMania match you could tell the flip was switched. Lesnar was in kill mode. Every suplex, every open-handed slap, that clothesline when Reigns was on the apron: it was all as real as wrestling gets.

When Shibata walked into an eight-man tag match on the final day of the G1 against a group of upstarts from Pro Wrestling NOAH, Shibata was ready to decapitate. These young punks coming into his arena to try and hang with him were about to feel his full wrath. Nakajima did. Just Google 'Shibata headbutt'. Blood-curdling.

Lesnar demands respect in the ring. He demands to be feared. But what happens when he's confronted by a man who hasn't felt a shred of fear in his life, who is so fearless, so reckless, it makes others fearful of him? Just how close to legitimate warfare would their wrestling match get?

I can only imagine. Which is heartbreaking because my God, I want to see it.
