10 WWE Weddings That Turned Into Chaos

And they all lived happily ever after... or not.

In-ring weddings have been a pro wrestling institution ever since the mid-1980s. A lightning rod for mayhem, drama is never too far away whenever wedding bells replace the ring bell.

Over the years, WWE has hosted more than a dozen wrestling weddings in total. In fact, the company has presented nuptials on virtually every major show they have produced, from Raw, SmackDown and NXT to TNT, Saturday Night's Main Event, and even SummerSlam. A proven formula for story development, WWE's OTT ceremonies are always memorable - even though there are some we'd rather forget.

As is often the case, where WWE leads, TNA follows. Impact Wrestling has been bitten by the love bug several times in recent years, with the the unions of Bully Ray/Brooke Hogan, Jay Lethal/So Cal Val and two separate weddings for Mrs Karen Angle/Jarrett. Even WCW threw their fascinator into the ring on occasion, all in hopes of keeping up with WWE's Attitude.

Despite the outside efforts, nobody does a wrestling wedding quite like Vince and co. Regardless of the era or the participants, the results are virtually always the same - pure chaos. Here're ten times a face was always destined for the cake.

10. Teddy Long And Kristal Marshall - 2007

As far as car crash TV goes, the wedding of Teddy Long and Kristal Marhsall in September 2007 is about as ludicrous as it can get - even by WWE's standards.

With the SmackDown and ECW rosters watching on from the entrance aisle, the SmackDown GM's wedding was littered with familiar faces. Even, Doom, Teddy's old tag team from his managerial days made an appearance for the occasion.

Sadly, the ceremony was halted by a "musical performance" from Jillian Hall, appearing in an attempt to upstage R&B group, Jagged Edge, who had played just minutes prior. Undeterred, the minister continued... momentarily.

Just when it seemed the nuptials were complete, The Godfather made a surprise return, complete with a gaggle of hos in toe. Despite the temptation, Teddy kept his resolve and so the ceremony continued once more - albeit without the rest of the bewitched congregation.

With the wedding party riding the ho train, the remaining few were left to watch Vince McMahon's "bastard son" Hornswoggle dive under Kristal's wedding dress for no apparent reason. Adding one final layer of insanity to an already insane occasion, the groom himself fell foul to a kayfabe heart attack, right as he was reciting his vows.
