10 WWE WrestleMania Matches That Were Just Too Long

10. Bret Hart Vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 12)

For this match, it requires playing devil's advocate. On the one hand, Hart and Michaels performed admirably for 62 minutes, and there were enough thrills to captivate portions of the audience. On the other, 62 minutes without a single fall rendered is understandably tiring for an audience that demands action. This wasn't Londos vs. Stetcher exchanging holds at the turn of the century, this was supposed to be WWE's two most dynamic performers in the marquee match.

A fall or two would have obviously aided the match. Thing is, if Hart scores the first pin, doesn't it taint Michaels' win later? He needed to beat Bret outright. If Michaels draws the first fall, it's a little more reasonable, but you also wanted to save the ultimate pin for the big moment, the title switch.

The Iron Man match was something of a no-win for many, especially certain fans.
