Shorty G needs a name change and a tag team partner. Chad Gable was a respected tag team specialist before being hamstrung with this ridiculous Shorty G gimmick. Gable is a three-time tag team champion with Jason Jordan twice and once with Bobby Roode, and was also part of a successful team with Shelton Benjamin.
WWE needs to put Gable in a storyline that will put the Shorty G name to bed and give him a new tag team partner. The roster is overflowing with guys that would make a good tag team with Gable, and he can gel quickly with most anyone.
SmackDown has the perfect partner for Gable on its roster. Apollo Crews recently lost the United States Title to Bobby Lashley, and it looks like his push might be over. Crews and Gable would be an explosive tag team because they have athletic skill sets that complement each other.
