10 WWE Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2023

5. Austin Theory

Yes, yes he does belong here.

Austin Theory has been on similar lists for a few years now, and yet he might not have been included in this one had Vince McMahon decided against retirement over the summer. Vinnie Mac was huge on Theory, but Triple H slowed that roll by ditching Austin's MITB push and trying to put a harder edge on him.

Theory will run with that next year. Basically, he'll be better for giving up the silver spoon aspects of his character (or some of them) and becoming a much more well-rounded persona fans can get to grips with. His high school jock-meets-Miz-lite approach was only going to go so far anyway, being brutally honest.

This writer would keep that United States Title on Theory for as long as possible and let him organically breathe without the pressures of some bullsh*t briefcase gimmick hanging over his head. 2023 will be massive for Austin once he figures everything out.
