10 WWE Wrestlers We Initially Misjudged
7. Elijah Burke
It seemed, for a short while, that Elijah Burke had "future world champion" written all over him, particularly after he was given the mantle of ECW's New Breed leader, a role that ultimately only lasted a couple of months before running its miserable course.
Burke, on paper anyway, had all the raw tools needed to be a top-tier talent, yet fans were forced to reevaluate their expectations thanks to his annoying and inexplicable habit of putting in sub-par performances in the ring.
Even when he was paired with CM Punk - the ECW yin to his yang - something just never quite clicked, and in the end few expressed much disappointment when WWE elected to release him from his contract at the end of 2008.
