10 WWE Wrestlers Who Are Having A Very, Very Bad 2020

3. Kairi Sane

Poor Kairi Sane. The former Kairi Hojo is another in the long-line of natural babyfaces that WWE has decided is best used on the heel side of the ledger. All that might change in the wake of recent events, although don’t be surprised if we don’t see Sane in a WWE ring for a long old while. Being mistreated by your colleague will do that to you.

Nia Jax doesn’t have the greatest reputation as it is, but the former RAW Women’s Champion has done nothing in her return to inspire any renewed confidence in her in-ring ability. Kairi Sane was the most high-profile victim, as Jax absent-mindedly buckle bombed her into the vague direction of the corner, leading to Sane’s head bouncing back off the bottom turnbuckle. It wasn’t pretty, recklessness never is.

This latest setback came just a couple of weeks after Sane and Asuka lost their Women’s Tag Team Championships, coming up short against Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 36. It was a disappointing end to the reign of the Kabuki Warriors, arguably the best run any team has had with the titles in their short history. Kairi Sane’s 2020 has been wretched, at best.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
