Trombone-playing walking attention magnet Xavier Woods hasn't been around since tearing his achilles on a 21 October 2019 house show. That injury forced him from screens, and meant Kofi Kingston and Big E have been flying a man down ever since.
It should only be a few months before ol' Woods is back.
His return will be a boost for New Day. The group has defied modern WWE booking by staying together for close to six years, and Xavier's comeback should help extend their shelf life further. Together, the trio are so entertaining that even Kofi's WWE Title win and big singles push couldn't split them up.
When Woods is back, he'll likely play the role of manager for Kofi and E until he's 100% ready to get back in the ring himself. His injury might also be a nifty plot point for whatever feud New Day has going on at the time.
