7. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin getting selected by SmackDown Live during the televised portion of the 2016 WWE Draft was a tell-tale sign the powers that be had plans to push him as a top star on the brand, or at least it should have been. He debuted with a ton of momentum by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32, only to be placed in a program with Dolph Ziggler that didn't help or hinder him.

SmackDown is the perfect platform for him to emerge as a monster heel, but that has yet to be the case. He initially teased going after Kane before setting his sights on Jack Swagger. Granted, he beat the former World Heavyweight champion in their No Mercy match, but he is hardly more of a threat coming out of the event.

Corbin and Swagger are set to face off in a rubber match on an upcoming episode of SmackDown Live, but where does The Lone Wolf go from there? Targeting the Intercontinental Championship would a logical move, but that would mean he would have to rekindle his rivalry with Dolph Ziggler and it is far too soon for that.
