In terms of gimmicks, nobody had it better than the Million Dollar Man. Ted DiBiase was rich beyond belief, and he’d use his money not only to manipulate other wrestlers to his will, but to force fans into embarrassing themselves for his own amusement. Moreover, he was a great technical wrestler with tremendous charisma, and while he was never WWE Champion, the Million Dollar Man is one of the most memorable gimmicks of all-time.

DiBiase wasn’t just a flashy high-roller for the cameras, though. It would’ve been impossible for him to main the gimmick’s credibility if he lived like a bum, and Vince McMahon realised this. Throughout his WWE career, DiBiase would fly in first class, wear the finest suits, eat in the best restaurants, and driving the flashiest cars, all on company money.

WWE bankrolled DiBiase’s escapades for years, and the man himself lived it up. He lucked into one of the best professional agreements imaginable, and while WWE obviously stopped funding his escapades when he left the business, Ted lived like a king for years. After all, you can’t be the Million Dollar Man if a fan catches you in your tracksuit, ordering food from the $4 menu at Denny’s...
