10 WWE Wrestlers Who NEED A Big Push After Royal Rumble 2023

5. Piper Niven

Asuka clown
WWE

Another beneficiary of the WWE curve.

Again: Tony Khan is missing a trick with this wrestling promoter lark. Constantly energising a rabid, devoted and stable fanbase with an intoxicating blend of high-end in-ring, unscripted promos, and thoughtful, left-field matchmaking that drives the wider plots forward?

Nope; all he has to do is frequently make terrible decisions, and then correct the course into bare minimum quality. That's how you get the acclaim. That's how you get the numbers.

Case in point: WWE was actually celebrated in some circles when D-Generation X didn't bury a promising up-and-comer at Raw Is XXX. That wasn't progress; that was something that should never have happened.

"Thank God they aren't putting grisly decapitation scenes on children's TV anymore!"

Do you see how deranged that is?

Also, fans were relieved that Piper Niven is no longer going by (and embracing!) the name of 'Doudrop' at the Royal Rumble. Have some standards!

Piper Niven is a much better and significantly less reckless version of Nia Jax, and should be pushed accordingly; she stands out in WWE's bad women's division, can absolutely go, and Asuka Vs. Piper Niven would be an awesome spectacle between two acts each with a unique, contrasting presence.
