10 WWE Wrestlers Who Reinvented Themselves In TNA
1. Bubba Ray Dudley - Bully Ray
When the Dudley Boyz debuted in TNA in October 2005, they appeared very much as they had at the original ECW One Night Stand four months earlier. Still wrestling as a rough and tumble tag team, the duo from Dudleyville picked up right where they left off with WWE.
As a result of WWE claiming ownership of the "Dudley" name, the collective were simply known as Team 3D; Bubba became Brother Ray while D-Von became Brother Devon. After five years as a team in TNA, the duo surprisingly announced their "retirement". In reality, this merely meant they were going their separate ways.
Brother Ray turned heel on Devon, becoming Bully Ray in the process - a vicious, smash-mouth bruiser. Over the next couple of years, Bully Ray worked his way up the ladder until he was widely regarded as one of the best acts in TNA. This eventually led him into a babyface turn and a TNA Title shot against Jeff Hardy at Lockdown 2013.
Ray defeated his longstanding rival to become World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time. The win simultaneously saw Bully Ray revealed as the leader of the Aces & Eights faction, and made him the biggest heel in the company.
