10 WWE Wrestlers Who Should Have Bypassed NXT

2. Samoa Joe

It's time to come to the final TNA alumnus on this list, and it's safe to say that he's easily the biggest.

Samoa Joe is a star like no other, as his legitimate in-ring intimidation makes him a formidable opponent, but he's also gold on the mic. The man really is the whole package, and when he made his way to NXT, it was a massive signing but felt like an ill-needed stepping stone for him.

Although Joe's time on the main roster wasn't as profitable as many had hoped, he still dominated by crushing opponents and entering the title picture on multiple occasions. Sadly, the company didn't get as long with him as they'd hoped, thanks to injuries, which makes it all the more frustrating that he didn't arrive on Monday Night Raw upon his debut.

WWE could have had a goldmine on their hands if they'd brought Joe to the main roster right away, as he had a big reputation and didn't exactly need any practice when it came to working in front of a crowd. He came into WWE as a fully established star and was the last person who needed to develop.
