10 WWE Wrestlers Who Suddenly Vanished
5. Tori
With little in the women's division to grasp at beyond odd title programmes that were as much to provide p*ss-breaks as they were pulsating action, Tori did a lot with a little during her time with WWE.
Serving as the valet for both Kane and X-Pac after her WrestleMania XV introductory programme with Sable simmered, Tori was one of the few females occasionally permitted some agency - though her 2001 exit proffered the polar opposite.
Put through a table by The Dudley Boyz to write her out of D-Generation X and six months of storylines, her 2001 return came under a literal cover of darkness. Cast as a balaclava-wearing "ninja", she served as a run-in buddy for Raven until a March unmasking on Sunday Night Heat revealed her identity in time for her to film episodes of MTV's Tough Enough as a coach without blurring kayfabe lines.
Despite significant television time dedicated to the ninja gimmick and the exposure Tough Enough offered, she was gone by September without explanation. Lost in the WCW/ECW Invasion shuffle, it was was if one less warm body on the show actually made the viewing experience a little easier.
